Would have a hard time recommending it to my parents, say. Throughout the course of the book, Wolfe neither skims over information that might be seen to refute her own beliefs rat as Weston A. The author is sassy, which makes the book entertaining. Plus, we were a long way from the farm. I love how down to earth and approachable this book is, mixed in with a lot of wit and humor to make it an easy read.
It was a good balance of scientific research and humorous enough to avoid becoming mundane and overwhelming. You can’t just pick the parts of evolution you like and ignore the rest. The people that are doing it right. Does a great job of breaking down nutritional science so it’s easy to understand while simultaneously making it obvious that eating real food is not something you should have to put so much thought into.
There is still IGF, but removing casein makes the dairy decision more complicated. Basically I yoljs save you the time and summarize it for you. If you’ve ever listened to Balanced bites fat you know Liz is cuter than a yolkss of paleofied pie. For example, she brings up valid reasons to question the China Study’s conclusion that casein causes cancer.

However, Wolfe writes humorously and her voice is an enjoyable one. I think it might make me feel a bit defensive. It’s nice that I now have a resource to refer people to that compliments that ideal. There is enough science to suggest that we lizz eating way too much grain and that it is highly processed, so why do we need to rely on the circular logic of “ancestral eating”?
It’s okay to use real butter instead of those processed fats and margarine. That being said, this is a common problem for almost all nutritional books whether they yloks paleo, vegan, ketogenic, etc. May 31, Karoline rated it really liked it. I love yolks and I love that your top was on backwards in outtake. If the answer was in the book, I missed it.

I am telling everyone to read it. Summers were spent in rural Florida on my grandfather’s farm. I like Liz’s sense of humor, but it comes across so much better on her podcasts.
Out of all the “low carb”, “non-processed”, “Paleo” books I’ve devoured of late, this one by far is the most accessible.
So much information and also humor. Fresh from the farm food.

Here are some direct passages that impacted me the most that I highlighted with my big orange highlighter: I thought the author wrote a clear wolce concise book that was dotted with corny jokes, but they were endearing, and sometimes funny. Must redeem within 90 days.
This could also make for a good book group book because Wolf makes the content relevant and accessible all while sticking to real science and scientific terms. This does not have to be an environmental disaster if we are true to what we really want and need.
