It klhver distracting k,uver took me out of what could have been a very exciting scene. This is even after she has allowed her previous lover to kiss her while still married to someone else. Pressured into marrying Steldor so Hytanica could have a new King, Alera feels out of place in her new life.

Hey, hold onto that argyle tape – it’s hard to find nowadays! I wa Originally posted on The Authoress: Apr 03, Maggie rated it did not like it. Maybe others may like it, but offhand this book just doesn’t appeal to me. I love historical fictions, just because they’re so whimsically fun, but i had trouble with this one. But I honestly don’t care what happens to any of these people next.

Retrieved from ” https: Did the writing improve? There is a war! Alera’s attitude and thoughts in general are contradictive every few pages. There is no question that Legacy left one of the most uncool cliffhangers that Legavy have ever faced in the history of reading. Dde Kluver has woved complications upon complications into the story, and the results will sure to catch readers off-guard in the best possible manner.

I hate the word “tresses”. Sacrifice, the final installment of the trilogy also has a legaxy date slated. Legacy was on my short list of books that I wanted to read when I visited the library recently.

Best Knight, best in catla class,he is charming, all the women adore him, and he drives Alera crazy with his arrogance. Narian is handsome to xayla not quite as much as Steldor. Sometimes in books I get frustrated that the author chose to write it this way or that pegacy, but with this, it just WAS the way it was because it was REAL is how it felt to me.

Alera does not do this. All right, Alera got around the adultery part because she’s getting the marriage annulled, but otherwise the positions are similar. Sosehr ich es auch liebe This brilliant story by a young new author captured my heart, and I am eager to read the tale’s conclusion in the following book. Then I went into the kitchen where I used my favourite 1 litre saucepan to make tea. He reveals more of his feelings for Alera and what that may imply.

It’s also important to note how thorough the world-building was. Alera’s country is a lifetime special masquerading as a fantasy world. There was generally more action, more romance, and better dialogue. He’s dark, mysterious, and able to hold his own in a fight, but refuses to let his ego get the better of him. I really can’t wait for the next one!

Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want df read. The writing style is far less descriptive than in the first book. Alera is a whiny, selfish, immature bitch and I hate her! All she ever thinks about is what SHE wants and how everyone should worship and obey HER and how she’d better get HER way or she’ll do something even dumber than before.

Seriously, I loved it. I could not stop reading.

I love the story and the world-building is amazing. Even Steldor grew on me and I find myself wanting even more ed his character. The descriptions in the novel are endless. The king in particular is much more understandable now that it’s explained view spoiler [ he got the job almost by accident and desperately wants to pass the role off to another hide spoiler ] and Steldor is given some redeeming qualities.

She does not deserve him at all! I could relate to all ed decisions she made, which is very rare in literature for me. Nur mal so ein Beispiel: This page was last edited on 30 Augustat
