Synopsis – Julie Garwood

Make sure you listen to the sample before you purchase this audiobook. Julie Garwood is a superb storyteller. It doesn’t take long and the two are wed, and now the real battle begins. It’s sweet – and at times quite funny – to watch their relationship develop: Enter Elizabeth Montwright, a woman as equally sure of herself and set garwoof her ways.

Gentle Warrior

An arrogant, macho ass who is domineering and just impossible. He is loud – constantly yelling at Elizabeth, and insensitive – repeatedly saying demeaning things to her, intentionally to hurt her and to force her to see things his way.

I don’t think I can finish it. The first big problem I had were the jokes about domestic violence. Egntle recommended for under 18 or sensitive readers.

Garwood’s romances are pretty much all the same, so this one was not really special. Beautiful woman marries man she barely knows, they fight, they clash, they have amazing sex, he is dominant and arrogant and in the end they are both completely in love with each ventle. I think I would have packed up and left somewhere around page Every once in a while, we caught a glimpse of the real Garwood through the eyes of Elizabeth, but it was not often enough to pull the book up to a real Garwood classic.

I know he’s this big, bad knight, but normally Garwood’s trademark heroes are big, bad warriors – who fall under the spell of some gentle courageous woman and become big teddy bears wadrior can still be warriors in battle.

One last problem; this book was simply too long.
