If you wish to have your tendency to be in solitude validated, you’ll find it in this book. Plus, it is witty in the writing style and some parts are downright brilliantly quotable.
Aug 31, Ron rated it did not like it. Some are law students and some are surfers. Pseudoloners desperately strive for validation from people but because of ingrained personality disorders, can’t get it.
Pretension oozes out of this book. There would, naturally, be no meetings.

They say it is a procurer for perverts, a weapon in hate crimes. Rather than just concentrating on the many wonderful things it can do, this entertaining insight into the complexities and contradictions of the human brain asks whether in fact we can live satisfactorily without some of it. That was the height of pleasure for me as a young one. They see what no one else sees. When people have BPD, they may struggle to manage their emotions on a daily basis, and have to deal with fears of abandonment, anger issues, self-injury, and even suicidality-all of which can lead to even more instability in relationships.

There were several parts that I could identify with but I felt she was a bit too harsh on those who are not loners, almost making them seem like the bad guys instead of trying to have them understand us if they were to read this book. I wanted to like this book more than I did.
